Merapi Montain - On this occasion I will share my experience when Merapi lava heat turbulent issued in 2010. Merapi seismic activity began in late September 2010. Chronologically as follows:
On 20 September 2010, the status of Mount Merapi was raised from normal to alert by BPPTK Yogyakarta. Then, on October 21, 2010, status changed to standby at 18.00 WIB (Western Indonesian Time). Then ditanggal October 25, 2010, Yogyakarta BPPTK again increase the status of Mount Merapi to Watch precisely at 06.00 pm. Again and again on October 26, 2010, eruption of Mount Merapi entered the stage.
According to reports BPPTKA, eruption occurred at around 17:02 pm. At least up to three times the eruption occurred. Pyroclastic eruptions accompanied by the release of 1.5 meters which leads to Kaliadem, Kepuharjo. The eruption of volcanic material as high as approximately 1.5 kilometers. After that, October 27, 2010, Mount Merapi erupted. From a long time research on the world's most active volcano erupted. On October 28, 2010 to be exact, Mount Merapi spewed incandescent Lava appeared almost simultaneously with the release of heat clouds at 19:54 pm.
In this eruption, many became casualties at least 165 people died in the disaster, including the caretaker of Mount Merapi, which is often called "Mbah Marijan".
From the above incident, I had come to feel how the atmosphere and surroundings of Mount Merapi, because I still live the trim but the bottom slope in Klaten City. Loud thumping noise occurs every few seconds, vibration glass window of my house to make my heart beat fast. Day and night did not stop Mount Merapi emits a roar and burst of hot ash and heat clouds too high into the sky, to the extent seen in the thick cloud lightning hot.
I live with my parents, my grandmother and my sister with a disebuah village named "Kanoman". In the event of a massive eruption, all residents are encouraged to evacuate to a safe place, then the mother, grandmother, and sister fled the village hall disebuah "Ngawen", I and my father was still living at home. Around where I live is certainly not me and my dad are not displaced, there are many neighbors who were also staying at home to keep their pets.
Afternoon before the biggest eruption, I was with my friend to the family after fleeing on a motorcycle as far from my house, my intention also want to evacuate. But my friend picked up her brother to live with in the city of Bantul Yogyakarta, where they are safe from the effects of the eruption of Merapi. Finally I decided to go back to the house, with the fear I ventured to drive the motor alone at night where many roads were deserted, there are only a few police patrols at various intersections.
Around 8 pm (West Indonesia time) I got home safely. Arriving in front of the house I did not see my father, the house was pitch black just a little light in front of the cowshed. On the road outside my house I hear his voice of the people, I see them finally told my father that I was told to wait in front of the primary school (elementary school). On my mind who thought "what actually happened". A few minutes later my father emerged from the north of the road with my neighbor who had told me. We talked wondering. And I just found out what happened, it turned out they'd been surveying the houses abandoned by their owners fled because there are issues about the cow thieves who take advantage of people looking sad disaster.
Not long after our conversations, suddenly there was a rumbling sound of the motor and the crowd shouted "hot clouds.., clouds hot!.." we all immediately run towards their own motorcycle and fled from the spot to secure, all the panic. Before long we were riding a motorcycle, there is one my friend who stopped and said "calm down, do not panic, I will call my friends who are above (settlements closest to the crater of Merapi)" after the neighbor called, was only a mere hoax fake alias, deeds people who are not responsible for that just wanted to make my village deserted of inhabitants of the house, then they will plunder the contents of the house. Though living on Mount Merapi still calm. The incident was repeated up to three times, and all of them false. Until one of my emotion tentangga who wish to pursue the bad guys who make trouble earlier.
Until sunrise, we did not sleep all night, and at that time also the activities of Mount Merapi eruption began to subside.
That's my story that I completely natural and feel, this incident will never disappear from my memory.
